Relaaaaxing

It might seem that we've been very busy this weekend, which we have. But we have also made sure to take time out to relax and do nothing, especially me and Melvin. Here in the hammock, with Dick Feynman.

And here, Melvin relaxing in the sun (after a few minutes he goes to the shade, and another few minutes back out into the sun, and it keeps going like that. I'm starting to wonder if he's ectotherm, just like a snake. Perhaps also dragons?

SJ = (hot as) Hell

We took the to-the-doors crowded train from Kalmar to Lund this afternoon. We got separate seats. Me and Melvin sat in the animal-section, and Joding in a non-animal section. Our animal section, as it happened, also turned out to be a non-aircondition-section. It had apparently broken down, and SJ probably thought "what the hell, it's not like Sweden get's so hot that it'll bother anyone". But then it turned out that Sweden actually gets really hot. Not so much that it actually bothers on it's own, but when you stick >100 people&animals into a non-airconditioned tin can for 3 hours in the sun, well it kind of gets uncomfortable. Especially for the dogs.

Me and Melvin had nice company, by Benjamin and his human. We requested several bottles of ice-cold Ramlösa - and then poured it over our dogs!

Melvin has his own, patented (?) technique of keeping cool on the SJ vinyl seat covers...

Snakes and dragons

Sweet Anna went to IKEA, so I ordered a long green snake for Melvin to play with (I don't understand why they call it "kids"-IKEA, it's so obviously "dogs"-IKEA). Now, they had stopped making long green snakes, but instead started producing long green dragons. Even better!

It has been shooked a million times, and pulled and bitten - but still more or less intact. It's something to comfort our poor little Melvin when we leave him for 3 weeks. I wonder what we'll get to comfort ourselves. Perhaps a few whiskeys a day? That ought to work.

Melvin and the Dragon.

It's a party!

Garden party

Which was actually a happy-30-years-old-party

because someone is about to have a big birthday - congrats!

Frau Svengbergsson only uses the large shot glasses, why bother with something less than a liter? Cheers!

Kubb-tournament, of course!

Girls vs. boys, of course.

I wasn't too good at hitting the wooden targets, but drink glasses, now there's something I can hit from afar! (or if I must be a designated driver, no-one else should be able to drink!)

celebrate good times, come on!

It's a celebration!

Thanks a lot for an absolutely lovely evening!

Brand new

Brand new patio, brand new barbecue. Sausages (also brand new...) with ketchup, mustard, and roasted onion, lovely!

Whereupon someone (middle-Svensson) makes "dagens spillning"

Bachelor party

Surprise-kidnapped after our bank appointment, getting dressed up like a shejk

Meeting up for a lovely picnic with the girls (prepped by Anna and myself - good job hon'!)

And then we brought him to a lovely Winnerbäck concert

The boys and their toys

It took about 20 second for Melvin to puncture the brand new ball.

If this was real soccer, the referee would soblow his whistle. That attack is not even close to the ball. Plus was it real, I assume there would be a tad more air in the ball.

Pretty Kalmare stad

Pretty wodden buildings in the city center.

Peter, this is the sailing boat I bought for our next summer vacation, acceptable?

And if you need a new book, they got plenty of treats in the book stores.

Moving

One of the big drags in life is moving. It's heavy, stressful, boring, sweaty and other bad stuff. So next time I move, I'm thinking to hire these guys...

...they moved the entire Akademiska Hus-building in a mere few hours. And if you look closely, you see that they didn't even have to pack a single thing, not even the newspapers on the kitchen table.

Adult credits

Today we've bought a car! How grown-up is that?! And just 2 weeks before we're getting married. I think I might just be about to grow up. Not that it'll feel any different, but I think I'm slowly moving into the definition. Whatever happened to that 17-years-old rebellion that wasn't to get married, have kids, or be like "everyone else". We'll my defense is, I'm rebelling by rebelling against my initial "17-years-old not wanting to be like everyone else'-idea, by just becoming another married woman, 30-something, regular job, car, house, dog, cat blabla bla.

This is the car! Who needs number 234? Then look no further!

Hello Kitty vibrator

How lovely it is to have a sister in Tokyo sending you all the necessities you never knew existed. An innocent Hello Kitty holding a teddy bear, on a product that vibrates on demand. Brilliant
