Wedding preparations!

Yesterday I bought all the supplies for making pretty wedding invitations - the first draft was presented for a semi-biased group today - and was cleared for massproduction. Something to do this weekend!

Do you think I'll blog the wedding dresses I'm choosing between?

NO, but you can see the underskirt. Superpretty, huh?! =)

Sweet Elisabet has been with me all day, trying out wedding dresses and finding the perfect ring (and taking my picture). Joding has called Switzerland to move some money around, so I can go pick up the ring tomorrow! Elisabet also had to try out a dress, of course! This is what she wants to wear for the wedding. Andreas. Hint, hint.

Spring's on!

Demanding babies

One really has to save up in order to afford diapers for babies these days.

2 diapers, 149 SEK.

Going...

Going to the carwash.
Carwash baby. lallalaala

Which reminds me of a co-sister-idea of starting a chain of carwashes, where women would wash cars dressed in white t-shirts. I'm sure it would be a very popular place to visit. A bit demeaning maybe. But fun!

Carwash, going to the carwash baby.

For all of you car owners out there, make sure you really close the car windows before starting a car wash. Especially for you, just like me, that can't open or close the car window from inside, but have to do it with one hand on each side of the window...

And also, make sure you haven't left a piece of your looong coat outside the car door, before starting a carwash. Just as a general piece of advice for you.

And also. Wash your car at Shell after 9 pm, half-price carwashes! Pretty red batmobile got the super deluxe carwash (it's not actually named that, but I got the best they had), for only 100 SEK.

Wedding planners

Man, how we're trying to get the invitations for our wedding ready. Every other day I don't want to invite anyone. Absolutely no offense meant, but it's rather intimate moment to get married, and why would you want a bunch of people staring at you while you do it? But other days, I just want to invite everyone in the whole world, to celebrate and have a really fun and joyous day together. I just know, as soon as we send out the invites, I'll start regretting having invited people, because I will feel such a pressure fixing up a great party for everyone. But at the same time, if we don't invite anyone, I'll know I'll regret it on the day, because I would want to share this happening with the people I love.

Wednesday I'll go down town and pick up some nice paper and other small things to finish the invitations. And I'll stop being worried about it. Or I'll try at least =).

Melvin+Molly=true

Melvin really needed to go out and pee at 10 this morning. I accompanied him. However, as we exited, he notied that Molly was out playing on the lawn. He forgot all about his need to pee, and focused on an even more urgent need - to play with his giiiirlfriend.

They wrestled, sniffed and licked.

Bookophilia

Some like to mix drinks, while others like to chew on the binder.

Many love Dan Brown's books. Either reading them, or shredding them

Who's your MK-lady!

My new cool working outfit!

TaTAAA (the aristocrats)

Oliver-visit!

The second prettiest cat in the world - Oliver - is visiting us today. So far, so good, I have to say. Judging from Cute Cat's previous behaviour upon meeting other cats than Obidoo, I was expecting far worse than this. Cute Cat lets Oliver roam free, and Melvin is trying to get Oliver to play, but Oliver is just kicking his ass. Oliver shows no fear, I am impressed. He's just laying on the floor now, flat out, showing no interest in Cute Cat or Melvin. He's cool as a cucumber! Who would have thought that about him? Perhaps Oliver's so relaxed and cool because he has his comfort-water-bowl with him?

Cute Cat vs. Mouse III

Melvin awoke us at 5.20. In turn, he had probably been awoken by Cute Cat. Who in turn had been awoken by the 3rd mouse to enter our apartment.

Poor lighting makes it impossible to see the fight half-way through the film. But I can tell you the action - the mouse is biting Cute Cat's paws.

Joding put on a new piece of sticky tape over their entering hole at 5.30 this morning - that piece of tape has now been chewed through. So stay tuned for Cute Cat vs. Mouse IV!

El dia de todos corazones

Happy Valentine's dinner. Candlelit, and pretty red tulips from Joding.

Andrisabetian afternoon

First I had a lunch sandwich and blackberry smoothie with Elisabet.

Later I had coffee and raspberry cheesecake with...

...Andreas

And finally we met all three together for drinks at their apartment. They played me some suggested wedding marches on piano and violin - our wedding is going to be absolutely marvellous, at least music-wise!

Oliver did not approve of the playing and singing

Spring

Spring in Februar, without having passed throuh winter. Yet.

Batmobile

The batmobile had it's annual check-up today. Me and Melvin went to the Bilprovningen at 9 this morning. Apparently they had a computer breakdown, which made it slightly confusing knowing which gate to enter - but it worked out in the end. Melvin greeted all the car-checking guys (not surprisingly, it's a rather male-dominated working atmosphere). There were NO rust on the car, which is impressive on a 20-year-old car! Apparently he could see that the car had gone through a Velcro (??) (corrosion protective) treatment, which he announced defintely had saved the car. He adjusted the headlights a tad, and went for a test ride. I suppose the car didn't do any of its jumping-buisness, because he didn't mention it afterwards. All well, apart from the handbreak. Little to our surprise, this item failed the test - an annual occurence apparently. On wednesday it's being dropped of at Volvo to be fixed up. I want to ask about why the car does its "jumping-thingy", but I don't dare, just asking might cost a fortune!

The car in the checking hall

Batmobile high up

Failed. Two things about the handbreak failed, that you could pull it too high up before it really "took", and also that even when it was tightened as hard as possible - it was not good enough.

Desiccant

Silica Gel beads. You should throw them away, with the added instruction of "do not eat". What does the "-marks contribute with? "do not eat".

Temporarily closed

This food place is temporarily closed, but will "open" soon. What does that mean? To "open" soon?

Pretty

Trees with beautiful seed-capsules on the parking lot by Wallenberg Neuroscience Center in Lund

Pink power in the air

Already outside you can feel Mary Kay in the air. A pink Mary Kay-collection Volvo is parked beside the venue entrance.

Ann Wallblom - the powerful, inspiring and enthusiastic woman who, together with her husband, brought Mary Kay Cosmetics to the nordic countries in the beginning of the 90's.

Our beloved sales directors - all purple and pretty! Ex teachers, nurses, and police officers - now working fulltime enriching women's lives.

Honestly, I was high still 10 hours after the meeting ended - but at 2 I could finally fall asleep.

Some are playing...

While some...

...are just generally pissed off

Obidoo hisses and makes his angry-meow if Melvin is even slightly moving about on the floor - even if Obidoo himself is safe on the shelf top 2 meters above Melvin.

I love heather

Obidoo is visiting for a week, while mum's having sister's two cats - as a experiment. It is an attempt to elucidate if mum can house sister's two cats while sister will be in Tokyo for 2 years. If mum can, then me and her will alter - 1 month I have Obidoo and Cute Cat, and 1 month I have Aron and Mint. Then I will have to change the description of this blog, It can't starr Cute Cat and Melvin, but every other month it has to starr the other two cats. Stupid sister, why are you leaving!

On the other hand, good choice sister, leaving! Then I can come visit Tokyo, again!°

Refurbishment

Mum and sister are busting their asses to build kitchen furniture. Don't miss sister's lovely 'Bob the builder'-shorts!

But despite mum's, sister's, and dad's hard work ...

...and despite canine supervision

The kitchen still looks like absolute crap.

Dirty dog

The sweet little Melvin met the sweet little neighbour dog today - and they just had to play, a lot. They're pretty much the same size, and seemed to have lots of fun together out on the lawn, a.k.a. "mud area". Melvin was not clean when we finally managed to pull them apart, and I don't think the other dog was either (even though from her fur you couldn't really tell). Melvin went for a swim in the tub, and now he's sound asleep under the huge comforter sweet Katie gave us when moving back to stupid America. Such a lovely comforter - thanks honey!

MK MakeUp

I have just finished my step2-education in the world of Mary Kay. We have had so much fun today, and I went a little overboard with the colours that were selected for me. Not really something I'd wear every day, but on special occasions - definitely!
